This class will be an introductory oil or acrylic painting class for ages 12 and up.
Participants must provide their own materials including:12×16 stretched canvas or canvas board, four brushes: #6 flat, #10 round, #4 flat, and #2 round. Paints should include four 1.25 oz. tubes: white, ultramarine blue, alizarin crimson, cadmium yellow light. If you choose oil paints be sure they are water soluble.
Learning about color mixing will be part of this class.
Other things to bring:
Table easels will be provided.
A $20 donation to Starling hall is requested.

A little information about the artist/Teacher:
Elaine Graf is a local artist and certified art teacher who has taught in local schools since 1984. She is currently the art teacher at Fayette Central School. Her education includes Portland School of Art, Colby College, and USM. Her own work includes landscape painting and portraiture as well as hand built ceramics and sculpture. She loves working with children and loves the spontaneity of their artwork.
