A Life Time of Starling Hall Memories
Friends of Starling Hall member, and lifelong Fayette, ME resident Carlene Davenport recently shared her thoughts on the importance of the Starling Hall renovation project. “My memories of Starling Grange (then) are priceless. Hope to see this project through. Graduations, dances, box socials, Grange meetings, PTA meetings, Children’s Day performances, suppers (baked beans), lively Town Meetings, baby showers, wedding receptions and other parties are part of my memories. Upstairs is beautiful.”
Comments such as this were the original inspiration that ignited a group of Fayette residents to seek funding sources to rescue Starling Grange Hall for use by the greater Community. We envision renovating this facility to its former stature and beauty so that resident families, clubs, school children, would again utilize Starling Hall for meetings, theatrical events, voting, club meetings, private parties, etc., thus creating new memories at all age levels.
FOSH continually seeks new, diverse avenues for funding so that the rehabilitation of Starling Hall may move forward consistently. Individual, Family and Corporate donations will allow us to complete this project promptly so that Hall use may begin.
